Hiking

Most camps have trails; at WVSC you have the White Mountain
National forest! Hiking in and around Waterville Valley is like few things you've ever experienced. There are seven 4,000-foot peaks that form a near-perfect bowl around the Valley, like sentries standing guard over the 770,000 pristine acres. Within that bowl you'll find over 100 miles of trails for every level of stamina and sense of exploration.

With seven 4,000 foot peaks located within the Valley, hikers of all abilities can find a satisfying trek. From the 4,315 ft. summit of Mount Osceola, the views are fabulous. The three peaks of Tripyramid also offer an outstanding challenge, also with views to match.

There are old fire roads that slowly switch back and forth up and down gentle foothills. There are trails that yield some of the region's hidden treasures, like secret swimming holes or scenic beaver ponds.
